Bestselling and award‑winning author Kate Angelo once sold a lion to a
circus in Shreveport after her mom realized lions weren't great house pets.
Growing up, she was a bookworm, dog groomer, exotic‑pet wrangler, horse
trainer, cowgirl, and teenage pool shark — long before she ever called
herself a writer.

After aging out of foster care, Kate leaned into her analytical side,
cultivating her inner computer nerd and working as a web programmer. But
during a visit to Australia, a life‑altering encounter with Jesus shifted
her trajectory from the corporate world into ministry and, eventually,
storytelling.

Today, Kate is the Publishers Weekly bestselling author of Hunting the
Witness, Selah Award winner of Deadly Holiday Hijack, and Amazon Top 100
bestselling author of Driving Force. She serves as Vice President and
cofounder of Vanguard Marriage and Family Advocates, where she works
alongside her husband championing stronger marriages and families, and
serves on the executive board of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).

Having aged out of foster care and into a found family of her own, Kate

Certified Marriage Counselor, and the Publishers Weekly bestselling author
of Hunting the Witness, Selah Award winner of Deadly Holiday Hijack, and
Amazon Top 100 bestseller of Driving Force. She aged out of foster care and
grew up quickly with very little guidance — a season she describes simply
as "Abused. Neglected. Abandoned." — before surrendering her life to Jesus
and finding the beginning of true forgiveness and healing.

That healing became her message. Today Kate speaks at conferences and
events nationwide on writing, faith, marriage, and finding your story —
believing that real‑life transformation is born in the most unexpected
