I have a friend going through a health journey, and some days she texts me to say that she doesn’t feel like going to the gym today. 😑 Later that evening I see her IG post with a video of her rocking it at the gym! 💪🏼 I don’t think she’s the impact the way I do, but she’s really making a big change for the better. 😍
Developing wise habits can start SMALL, but ultimately the impact will be HUGE.
This is true for MORE than reaching your health goals, my friend.
Want to write that novel? 👉🏼 Make it a priority.
Want to lose weight? 👉🏼 Make it a priority.
Want to get emotionally healthy? 👉🏼Make it a priority.
Want to have a better marriage? 👉🏼 Make it a priority.
Want to grow closer to God? 👉🏼 I can’t believe I need to say it again 👉🏼 Make it a priority.
But what do we do with so many priorities?
There’s a lot right there that needs my attention and we haven’t even started adding in things like children, pets, chores, bills, and work.
Rather than reinvent the entire wheel, let me point you to three great resources where you can learn some tips and tricks that work for YOU.

The Bullet Journal Method – The simplest way to start.
My Brilliant Writing Planner – The course you get with this planner is a PHENOMINAL resource!
Each of these links offer something different and you’re sure to find inspiration from all of them. I got started with The Bullet Journal method in a simple notebook. I moved onto using the My Brilliant Writing Planner since it’s perfect for authors, but it also helps you find your priorities and get them in order by breaking them down.
For example, I might say that my faith is a priority, but let’s break that down into other layers.
- My morning devotional
- Personal prayer time
- Bible Reading
- Praying for family and other specific requests
- Discipling a friend
- Helping others share their faith
Breaking those items down allows me to make room in my day/week/month to address my priorities in a more meaningful way.
How do you juggle your priorities? What are some small habits you can start today that will make a big impact long term? I’d love to hear from you!
