“Blackout” by Lisa Phillips has more twists and turns than a rollercoaster.
First of all, the pace is so fast that I’m pretty sure I got a cardio workout just from reading it. And the characters? Let me tell you, they’re not your typical cookie-cutter romance characters. Ember Hendryx is a tough girl who knows how to hold her own, and Trey Banning is a flawed hero who’s trying to get his life back on track. Honestly, I was rooting for them from the get-go.
Overall, “Blackout” is a total five-star read for me. It’s got everything you could want in a romantic suspense novel – action, drama, romance, and even a bit of faith thrown in there. So if you’re looking for a book that will keep you on your toes, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
